Giving

At Resurrection, we understand sharing from the resources with which God has blessed us to be an act of faithful discipleship. We seek to give proportionately from the first fruits of what we have been given. As a congregation, we act out of the same conviction, giving from what we have been given to support outreach efforts beyond our doors.

By giving generously we enact our trust in God, confident that God will always provide sufficiently for our needs. Our generous giving is an act of worship of the God who blesses us beyond measure. Sharing from what we have been given is a way of faithful living, marking out for us a journey of faith in which we follow Jesus. Giving is an act of discipleship, through which we grow closer to the one who is ever close to us.

You may also give through…

Gifts of Appreciated Property: Members who have appreciated stocks or mutual funds, or even personal property, may donate directly to RLC and enjoy added tax benefits by avoiding capital gains.  Contact the church for more details.

Bequest: Members can make the ultimate gift by including RLC in their estate plans.  Whether through a bequest in their will or by designating Resurrection as a beneficiary of a life insurance plan, these gifts can be transformational to the church.

Thrivent Choice: Members of Thrivent who have the appropriate balance in their account may designate gifts to the church. The church accumulates these funds in an account, the expenditure of which is designated by the Council.

Corporate Matching: Some businesses or organizations match donations while others provide cash gifts for volunteer hours.  Check with your employer to see if you qualify.

“Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.”
2 Corinthians 9:7-8
